Lifeline Village maternity home was founded in 1984 to meet the needs of women in unplanned pregnancies by providing a stable and nurturing home environment during and after pregnancy. The Village is a ministry arm of Lifeline Children’s Services. Women can receive housing and physical care while also receiving resources, professional counseling, and information to assist them in making an informed decision regarding their plan for parenting or adoption. The staff of Lifeline Village focuses on the needs and decisions of each woman, without pressure and with support before, during, and after the birth of her child.

Our desire is to help her holistically by getting her connected with the local church, discipling her and helping her think through a long term plan for herself and her child(ren).

To be eligible for the village, she must be at least 19 years of age. The Village is also able to accept the children she is parenting as long as they are under the age of 5.

Looking back I can see how almost every person I met while living there left a mark on me. I was helped with a lot of issues I had with my family. When I came to the Village I was on drugs. I was living here and there. It was not a great life and my family and I didn’t really agree on anything because of it. So we didn’t talk much but after I came to “the Vill” I got back into church I learned to love myself, let go and forgive others and myself. I learned about boundaries and how not to let people use me. Once I started healing emotionally and spiritually, my relationships starting mending also.”
