You’ve decided to place your child for adoption, and you want to ensure that you choose the best family for your baby. There is no better place to make these important decisions than with your pregnancy counselor at Lifeline. She will walk with you every step of the way.
Choosing a family you Love
As you move through making the adoption plan for your baby, we want to help you chose a family that meets your deepest desires. Your pregnancy counselor will ask you for your wishes for an adoptive family. You two will work closely through the decision-making process, so that you feel supported and heard on what you want for your child.
You will only look at families who meet your desires. We will show you the profile books each family created, which share their background, personalities, lifestyles, and much more! We want you to feel confident of your decision, so you do not need to choose unless you feel sure you have found the right family!
Meeting the Adoptive Family
You are welcome to meet any of these families in person or via Zoom. If you would like to meet them prior to making a final decision, we will help to make that happen. Once your decision has been made, you can also meet the family prior to hospital time if you want to! You get to choose if you want them at the hospital or to care for the baby after delivery. We let you make all of the decisions, with the full support of your pregnancy counselor.
Our adoptive families chose Lifeline because they want an organization who honors expectant mothers and cares for them. If you want an open adoption, they do, too! They will share their child’s adoption story with them and share photos and updates with you.
