Abortion

Many women facing unplanned pregnancies feel as though the most honorable decision they can make for themselves and their child is abortion due to current life circumstances, whether that be poverty, lack of support, unstable environments, young age, or more. We understand that these reasons are very personal to each and every woman.  The reality is that many women are in the midst of circumstances that are not ideal for parenting, and they have acknowledged this.

Many women feel as though abortion is the only way to prevent your child and you from suffering from the weight of current circumstances. However, these reasons for abortion can be countered by a lifelong plan for you and your child, adoption.

Majority of women choose abortion because of one or more of these four reasons:

  • having a child would interfere with a woman’s education, work or ability to care for dependents (74%)
  • could not afford a baby now/ financial hardship (73%)
  • did not want to be a single mother or was having relationship problems (48%)

It is a strength for women to be able to look and assess their current resources and acknowledge that they may not be in the best place to parent a child at this point in their life. We know that this decision is not made lightly and is motivated ultimately by love. Our hope is that you hear that you and your child are made in the image of God and have infinite value. We want you to know that you are not left with only two options, abortion and parenting. Rather, there is another option that is available to you that can satisfy the outcome you may be seeking in abortion that is a life giving, loving alternative, adoption.
